Central Jr/Sr High - 1st Day of School Message

Raider Families

Welcome back to school! My name is Mrs. Henning and I am the 7th-12th grade building principal. I am excited to kick off a wonderful school year with our students and I know that despite many unknowns we will work together as a staff, student body, and community to make this an amazing year for all! As we prepare to return to school face to face or through our distance learning model, we would like to provide reminders of new procedures and processes. Please take a moment to review the attached reopening plan and take note of building specific guidelines. It is important that all families complete the at home screening criteria (at the end of the Central USD 462 Return to Learning Plan) each day before your student comes to school. I have also attached a short video message and graphic below over viewing building entrance procedures and information about the first day of school, Monday, August 24th.

Return to School Message From Mrs. Henning 8/23/2020

Throughout the year, you can expect communications from the school through a variety of avenues. I plan to send a weekly parent email to celebrate student successes and communicate important dates and updates. You can also expect to receive information via the school reach phone messaging system and are encouraged to check the school website (https://www.usd462.org) or the school Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CentralUSD462) for updates.

Thank you for your patience and support as we prepare for the first day of school. Our district-wide theme this year is Raiders Rise. This is what we do as a staff, as a school, as a district, and as a community - we rise. Together, we will rise above whatever this year brings and create educational opportunities for students to ensure that the standard of excellence is met. We look forward to seeing our students tomorrow, both in person and through remote learning resources! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the school at 620-438-2215.
